Collection Specialist

About the role

As a Collection Specialist, you will maintain customer relationships by renewing agreements, resolving issues, and facilitating prompt payments. You will spend most of your day on the phone or computer, making calls to customers regarding expired agreements, scheduling voluntary turn-ins, and occasionally going into the field to pick up products or distribute door hangers. Your patience, tact, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment will help you meet weekly goals while providing top-notch customer service.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–6:30 PM, with one weekday off each week. Saturday 8:30 AM–3:30 PM. Sundays off.

Responsibilities

• Review customer applications to identify and create opportunities for renewing agreements.
• Make phone calls to customers regarding expired agreements and references on expired accounts.
• Actively listen and assist in resolving issues to facilitate renewal and prompt payment.
• Schedule voluntary turn-ins of merchandise.
• Conduct field visits to pick up products and distribute door hangers.
• Handle challenging customer interactions with patience and professionalism.
• Maintain focus on customer needs while managing multiple tasks and meeting weekly goals.

Requirements

• Experience as a rental agent, account executive, account manager, or in account collections/rent-to-own.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Professional communication skills in English (bilingual is a plus).
• Strong computer and phone skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Pay

$16.00 to $20.68 per hour, including bonuses.
