Code Compliance Officer (Remote)
Role Overview
We are hiring for one of our clients seeking a Building Code Compliance Expert to review and ensure adherence to building codes and regulations for residential and commercial projects. The role involves interpreting complex codes, identifying compliance gaps, and providing actionable solutions to mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Review architectural plans and construction documents for compliance with international, national, and local building codes.
- Conduct site inspections to verify adherence to approved plans and code requirements during construction phases.
- Prepare detailed compliance reports outlining discrepancies, required corrections, and recommendations for remediation.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve code-related issues and ensure project timelines are met.
- Stay updated on evolving building codes, zoning laws, and industry standards to provide current guidance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of International Building Code (IBC), International Residential Code (IRC), and NFPA standards is required.
- Experience performing plan reviews and field inspections for residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software to analyze construction documents.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret technical codes and translate them into practical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document findings and communicate with stakeholders.
