Cocktail Server The Hotel Bar ($19.00-25.00 /Hr.)

About the role

As a member of the Hotel Bar team, this role will serve food and beverage including alcohol to guests in a dining establishment. This position will act as cocktail tour guides, educating guests about the bar's inventory of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, assisting them with their needs, and making recommendations based on guests' preferences.

Responsibilities

• Answer menu questions and make suggestions regarding food, beverage, and service
• Write order on check or memorize it and repeat to guest
• Greet guests in a friendly, timely manner with a smile, proper English, and correct posture
• Observe guests to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
• Serve all orders according to product/serving specifications
• Relay order to kitchen via computer and serve orders from the kitchen or bar
• Complete daily and weekly side-work
• Complete daily reporting to accounting, following proper cash handling procedures
• Assist with greeting and seating guests, including menu presentation
• Participate in all ongoing departmental training initiatives including menu, beverage, and service reviews
• Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Prior Food and Beverage serving experience is required. In accordance with the State of Colorado, you must be 18 years old to serve alcohol. Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others. Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Pay

$19-25 per hour inclusive of hourly pay rate + service charge* ($6.42 per hour base wage + service charge commission paid per shift; historically, this position averages service charge commission earnings of $12-18 per hour. Service charges are commissions and will fluctuate based on events and time of year. This position always earns at least the current Colorado minimum wage $15.16 per hour).
