Cocktail Server B3 Part-Time Evenings $11.41 - $15/hr plus Tips

Responsibilities

• Prompt, efficient and courteous service of beverages to Casino Guests in accordance with Grand Casino standards.
• Takes and fills all drink orders and assists in maintaining Casino floor in a clean and neat manner.
• Adheres to established cash handling control policies and procedures of Grand Casinos.
• Knows beverage menus and offerings and applies suggestive selling techniques to enhance Guest gaming experience.
• Ensures all Guests' needs are met on a continual basis, fulfilling all requests promptly.
• Answers any Guest questions and directs concerns to appropriate management.
• Resolves Guest challenges quickly and courteously in accordance with department standards.
• Encourages mutual respect, dignity, and integrity with all Associates, setting positive examples at all times.
• Participates as a team member with Grand Casino Associates in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation that meets the highest standards of Guest service.
• Affords assistance with maintenance (side work, opening/closing duties) as necessary.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary area at all times in full accordance with established health regulations.
• Knowledgeable of the Dram Shop Act and Servers' responsibilities and rights under it.
• Collaborates with Utilities, Bartenders, and Supervisors and any pertinent Grand Casino Associates to ensure efficient operational standards.
• Flexible to learn and execute in multiple food or beverage outlets.

Requirements

• Must be able to secure a license from Gaming Regulatory Authority.
• Follows all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR’s).
• Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

Qualifications

• Previous Bartending and or serving experience of one year.
• Alcohol Awareness Training (Certification within 2 months required).
• Mathematical Skills: Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, percentages, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as statistical inference.
• Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to a variety of situations, collect data, analyze facts, and determine appropriate response.
• Physical Demands: Talk and hear; ability to communicate effectively; see and adjust focus to include close, distance, depth, and peripheral vision; stand, walk, run, sit (up to 8 hours); balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl; handle objects, tools, and controls; reach with arms and hands; be able to lift and carry objects up to twenty-five (25) lbs.
