ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Performs duties in compliance with safety procedures, including use of safety equipment.
- Follows safety procedures, identifies unsafe practices or conditions, and reports them to supervisor or Safety Committee.
- Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position.
- Serves guests with beverages promptly and courteously.
- Promotes events in gaming, slots, restaurants, and other areas as required or requested.
- Answers guests' questions regarding casino operations.
- Develops, maintains, and enhances positive relations with all guests and employees.
- Wears and maintains all uniforms properly, including nametag and Gaming License.
- Complies with established security policies and procedures and informs supervisor of any concerns.
- Maintains alertness for the performance of all responsibilities and a general awareness of bar operations at all times.
- Monitors guests for intoxication. If applicable, discontinues alcohol sales and informs security and the immediate supervisor/casino manager. Alerts the supervisor/casino manager and security regarding guests who may be difficult or possibly violent.
- Verifies customers are 21+ years of age and provides them with a wristband.
- Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated cocktail server experience, preferably within a hospitality, restaurant, or gaming environment.
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
- Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure.
- Demonstrated experience in problem-solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- One (1) or more years of recent and related cocktailing experience, preferably within a hospitality, restaurant, or gaming environment.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- A Colorado Limited Gaming Support License is required.
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
- Successful completion of Bloodborne Pathogens and hazardous material training.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Demonstrated ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Successful completion of alcohol awareness training.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Essential duties involve performing physical exertion, such as constant brisk walking, climbing stairs, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, kneeling, squatting, crouching, stooping, and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks.
- Essential duties require lifting trays, which contain beverages, and lifting up to 30 pounds to stack, store, or move cocktail, bar, kitchen, restaurant, or general office supplies and equipment.
- Essential duties involve a flexible work week with additional hours routinely required.
