Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides personalized service and uses guest name
- Solves service problems according to guidelines
- Serves as ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions; appears in publicity photos
- Promotes casino events and programs
- Provides fast (20 minute or less round time), friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests; carries full trays on every round
- Maintains clean and stocked workstation
- Makes drink orders, communicates with bartender, assists in the preparation of drinks and presents drinks to guests
- Takes money according to procedure
- Works well with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, beverage supervisor, and slots supervisor
Qualification Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior food handling, cashier and/or attendant experience preferred
- Prior knowledge of proper food holding temperatures and the ability to identify temperature danger zones and understanding the proper use of cleaning chemicals preferred but not required
- Must have ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as scheduled
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to effectively present proper phone etiquette
- Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Must have the ability to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations
- Must successfully complete applicable responsible alcohol service training
Physical Demands
- Regularly stands and uses hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Frequently reaches with hands and arms
- Talks or hears
- Regularly lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Pushes, pulls, reaches, bends, twists, stoops, stacks, crouches, kneels and balances when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
Work Environment
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and risk of electrical shock
