About the role
The East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD) seeks a skilled and passionate Music Director to prepare music students for their theatrical production. The Music Director will work alongside the production's director, contributing to rehearsal preparation, instruction, and performance support at one or more school sites to deliver a high-quality performing arts production for a diverse student body.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Production's director to align with overall production goals.
- Provide large and small group instruction designed to enhance students' technical proficiency and musical expression.
- Foster student creativity, discipline, and teamwork in a culturally responsive and inclusive environment.
This is a seasonal position tied to a specific production.
Requirements
- Experience in instrumental pedagogy as well as rehearsal planning and implementation.
- Experience teaching high school-aged students.
- Experience teaching in both small and large group settings.
- Must complete an Edjoin online application and submit a resume and letters of recommendation/reference.
- Selected candidates must pass fingerprint clearance and provide current TB test results prior to employment.
