About the Role
The East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD) seeks a skilled and passionate Music Director to prepare music students for their theatrical production. The Music Director will work alongside the production's director, contributing to a high-quality performing arts production for a diverse student body. This role includes rehearsal preparation, instruction, and performance support at one or more school sites.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Production's director to align with overall production goals.
- Provide large and small group instruction designed to enhance students' technical proficiency and musical expression.
- Foster student creativity, discipline, and teamwork in a culturally responsive and inclusive environment.
This is a seasonal position tied to a specific production.
Requirements
- Experience in instrumental pedagogy as well as rehearsal planning and implementation.
- Experience teaching high school-aged students.
- Experience teaching in both small and large group settings.
- Must complete an Edjoin online application and submit a resume and letters of recommendation/reference.
- Selected candidates must pass fingerprint clearance and provide current TB test results prior to employment.
