Coach (Prop 28): Dance Coach (Seasonal) - Independence High School

About the role

The East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD) seeks a skilled and passionate dance coach to prepare theater students for their theatrical production. The coach will work alongside the production's director. The role includes rehearsal preparation, instruction, and performance support at one or more school sites, contributing to high-quality performing arts production for a diverse student body.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Drama director to align with overall production goals.
• Provide large and small group instruction designed to enhance students' technical proficiency.
• Provide one-on-one and small group instruction designed to enhance student expressive qualities.
• Foster student creativity, discipline, and teamwork in a culturally responsive and inclusive environment.

Requirements

• Experience in Dance pedagogy as well as rehearsal planning and implementation.
• Experience teaching high school-aged students.
• Experience working with small groups and large groups.
• Must complete Edjoin online application, submit a resume, and provide letters of recommendation/reference.
• Selected candidates must pass fingerprint clearance and provide current TB test results prior to employment.
