Coach (Prop 28): Dance Coach (Seasonal) - James Lick High School

About the role

The East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD) seeks a skilled and passionate dance coach to prepare theater students for their theatrical production. The coach will work alongside the production's director, contributing to a high-quality performing arts production for a diverse student body.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Drama director to align with overall production goals.
• Provide large and small group instruction designed to enhance students' technical proficiency.
• Provide one-on-one and small group instruction designed to enhance student expressive qualities.
• Foster student creativity, discipline, and teamwork in a culturally responsive and inclusive environment.
• Prepare and support rehearsals and performances at one or more school sites.

Requirements

• Experience in dance pedagogy as well as rehearsal planning and implementation.
• Experience teaching high school-aged students.
• Experience working with small groups and large groups.
• Must complete an Edjoin online application and submit a resume and letters of recommendation/reference.
• Selected candidates must pass fingerprint clearance and provide current TB test results prior to employment.
