In-Flight Crew Resources and Insights
- Drive operational excellence by measuring current operational performance and/or customer satisfaction and identifying optimization opportunities
- Research, analyze, and interpret operational data
- Develop new reports and dashboards and automate existing ones
- Perform reliability/root-cause analysis
- Evaluate and provide recommendations for improvement of key operational metrics
- Seek process improvement recommendations to proactively reduce flight delays through schedule optimization
- Maintain, run, and improve staffing models to support scheduling operations
- Develop strategic and operational support and establish performance metrics and goals
- Develop success factors and statistical evaluations of new procedures and systems
What You Need to Succeed
- Enrolled in an Undergraduate program in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or similar 4-year degree program
- Able to report in-person to Delta’s World Headquarters (Atlanta, GA) or willing to relocate each semester (housing stipends will be provided to students who meet the minimum criteria)
- Team oriented and highly supportive of continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong organizational, project management, and verbal/written communication skills are essential
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools and concepts
- Proficient in Python, SQL or similar database query tool knowledge and Macro programming is strongly preferred
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
- At least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
Benefits and Perks
Students are required to complete three alternating semesters of work and school; all rotations must be completed before the student's graduation.
Note: Students are not permitted to work part-time hours and should refrain from taking classes and working as a co-op in the same semester.
The full-time work schedule for this role, while remaining actively enrolled in an approved undergraduate curriculum, is as follows:
- Spring 2027
- Fall 2027
- Summer 2028
