CNC Machinist 3rd Shift

South Cleveland location with a $2/hr shift differential. Base pay: $30-$33/hr.

About us

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist – Set-Up to support the machining of complex, close-tolerance components. This role requires the ability to independently set up and operate CNC lathes and/or CNC mills, verify first articles, and run production efficiently while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up tooling, fixtures, and workholding using engineering drawings and setup documentation
• Establish machine zero points and complete first-part inspections to blueprint specifications
• Verify dimensions and quality using appropriate inspection tools
• Run production parts following successful setup and approval
• Optimize cycle times and production methods while maintaining quality requirements
• Perform in-process inspections and part benching during machine operation
• Accurately complete SPC records, inspection documentation, and certified operator paperwork
• Record work transactions correctly within the ERP system
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to ensure product conformance
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements

Requirements

• 4–7 years of CNC machining experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (Aerospace experience strongly preferred)
• Strong background in CNC setup and operation for mills and/or lathes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• High attention to detail with a focus on quality and repeatability
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 lbs
• Ability to pass all required pre-employment screenings and medical evaluations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completed apprenticeship program preferred
