CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

About the role

Exciting opportunity to work with products in the aerospace industry at our Re:Build CDI facility in Avon, OH. As a Machine Operator, you will operate CNC (computer numerical controlled) machinery to fabricate parts. You will run production and non-production jobs, communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and management, follow established Quality Management Systems, and maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, load and run product into the CNC machine
• Perform daily maintenance on equipment and clean work area after each shift
• Perform manual deburring operations as needed
• Follow Process Routing Document; perform inspection per Process Routing Document and legibly record results
• Complete reports and other associated paperwork
• Communicate with management, supervisor, operators, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues
• Follow all applicable Quality Management System procedures, work instructions, and forms
• Safeguard company, customer, and supplier property (electronic, intellectual, and physical)
• Manage assigned records (as owner)

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience with Vertical/Horizontal CNC Milling
• High school diploma or GED is required
• Experience reading blueprints and using calipers, height gauges, and micrometers
• Proficient with machining operations like drilling, turning, and tapping
• Familiar with vertical and horizontal machines
• Demonstrates inspection competence and basic mathematical skills
• Mechanical and technical capacity
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required

Qualifications

• Willing to work 2nd Shift: 5 day work week, 8 hour shifts, 2:15-10:45 PM
• Bridgeport experience preferred
