CNC Machinist - 2nd shift
Position Summary
We’re looking for an experienced CNC Machinist who takes pride in producing precision parts, not just running machines. In this role, you’ll program, set up, and operate Okuma CNC equipment while working on challenging, close-tolerance components in a clean, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities
- Create and edit CNC programs using CAM software and Okuma machine controls.
- Set up, prove out, and operate Okuma CNC lathes and machining centers.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and job specifications.
- Select tooling, establish offsets, and optimize feeds and speeds.
- Design and build moderate fixtures and workholding as needed.
- Set up and use complex fixtures for production machining.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and tight tolerances.
- Determine machining methods, tooling, and sequence of operations for new jobs.
- Complete required production and quality documentation.
- Support and mentor less-experienced machinists and operators while maintaining high quality and productivity standards.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of CNC setup experience required; 4–8+ years preferred.
- Experience programming and setting up CNC lathes and/or machining centers.
- Okuma OSP control experience preferred.
- Candidates with strong Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Mori Seiki, or similar CNC experience are encouraged to apply.
- Experience with CAM programming.
- Ability to read complex blueprints and work with close tolerances.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Good vision for inspection work and computer programming.

Pay Range
$30 to $33/hr plus incentive and 10% shift differential
