CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

About the role

EMC Precision has provided complex parts in low- to mid-volume quantities expertly machined since 1925. This role involves operating CNC Lathes to manufacture precision components.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines, specifically lathes with live tooling (Y axis) and sub-spindle
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Use micrometers and other precision instruments
• Calculate and adjust machine settings
• Identify and solve production problems
• Train and mentor team members on production processes
• Participate in cross-training opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness of work area using 5S techniques
• Perform daily upkeep and maintenance of equipment

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Fluent in shop math
• Minimum of one year of shop experience
• Solid work history
• Able to pass a background check and drug screen

Physical Demands

• Frequently: push, pull, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, stand, see (general and close up), hear, speak, use motor coordination (dexterity), and use hands, wrists, arms, and fingers in any direction
• Occasionally: kneel, stoop, bend, grip, climb flights of stairs
