CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

About the role

McWilliams Forge, a family-owned company since the 1880s and now part of PCC, supports the aerospace industry by manufacturing components for local and regional aircraft. We are seeking a machinist familiar with turning machines to set up and operate a variety of machines in our machine shop.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines)
• Load programs, install tooling, and set work offsets
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
• Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures
• Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and supervisors to improve processes

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing experience (3+ years)
• Willingness to learn
• CNC programming experience (G-code, Mastercam, Fusion 360, etc.)
• Experience with tight tolerances and high-precision parts
• Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and materials
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:15 PM
