About the Role

The Memory Care Center CMT or L1MA ensures quality resident care in line with community policies, procedures, and federal, state, and local laws while promoting residents' highest quality of life. This position administers medications and assists in providing direct resident care.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to residents while upholding their rights, dignity, individuality, and freedom of choice.
• Administer and document all medications (oral, inhalation, or topical) as ordered by a physician.
• Conduct daily resident rounds, staff huddles, and report issues to the charge nurse or Director of Nursing.
• Label over-the-counter or other medications not marked by the pharmacy for resident use.
• Remove unused medications or add new ones as ordered by a doctor, following facility policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident information.
• Report resident concerns or grievances immediately to the charge nurse.
• Recognize and report changes in resident condition to the charge nurse.
• Reorder medications from the pharmacist and return unused medications per facility policies and regulations.
• Obtain and record vital signs as ordered or needed.
• Document and report all medication errors to the charge nurse or Director of Nursing.
• Assist coworkers in meeting residents' needs as required.
• Report all incidents and accidents promptly and complete required paperwork.
• Promote positive communication among team members, residents, visitors, and other departments.
• Ensure safety regulations and precautions are followed at all times.
• Perform delegated tasks within scope of practice.
• Maintain a professional image and utilize problem-solving skills for appropriate resolutions.
• Support team members and the facility through effective communication.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with inter-department personnel and other facility departments.
• Create and maintain a warm, calm, and positive environment for residents.
• Participate in departmental studies and projects as assigned.
• Assist new employees and remain open to new ideas and changes.
• Comply with ethical and legal standards, including laws and regulations related to resident abuse and neglect.

Schedule

This is a full-time, evening shift position.
