Clubhouse Mental Health Counselor

About the role

The Unit Coordinator engages Clubhouse members in the work of the Clubhouse, working side-by-side with them to assist with navigating employment, education, community resources, and finding a voice. You will create and organize evening, weekend, holiday, and special events to connect with the community, and help members live healthier lifestyles through exercise opportunities and health & wellness educational forums.

This role involves motivating others in activities related to social and event planning, fundraising, health and wellness, food services, advocacy, and other manual and clerical responsibilities. A passion for teaching, organizing, and planning is essential.

Responsibilities

• Engage Clubhouse members in daily work and activities
• Assist members with navigating employment, education, and community resources
• Organize evening, weekend, holiday, and special events to foster community connections
• Plan and facilitate health and wellness activities, including exercise opportunities and educational forums
• Support social and event planning, fundraising, and advocacy activities
• Assist with food services, manual tasks, and clerical responsibilities

Requirements

• Strong computer skills
• Valid driver’s license
• BA/BS and/or relevant experience preferred
• Clubhouse experience, community-based programs, or Recovery Learning Community experience is a plus
• Individuals with lived experience of mental health challenges are encouraged to apply

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week with flexible daytime shifts. Includes occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay

$21.37/hour.
