Mental Health Counselor - Clubhouse
We are looking for an energetic, passionate, confident, and skilled person to join our team as a Mental Health Counselor / Food Services Coordinator. This role is vital in engaging Clubhouse participants in a vibrant, fun, and supportive environment that helps individuals move forward in their mental health recovery journey.
About the role
The Food Services / Culinary Unit Coordinator works side-by-side with participants while coordinating various activities and projects. Responsibilities include cooking meals, menu planning, tracking the food budget, maintaining town/state health code requirements, and planning social events, parties, and health and wellness activities. This role requires flexibility to work one-on-one and in groups.
Our ideal candidate is passionate about food and sharing it with others, with an opportunity to engage participants in social and event planning, health and wellness activities, and other food-service-related tasks.
Responsibilities
- Engage Clubhouse participants in daily work and activities
- Cook breakfast, lunch, or dinner
- Plan and coordinate menus
- Track and manage the food budget
- Maintain compliance with town/state health code requirements
- Plan and coordinate social events, parties, and health and wellness activities
- Transport participants during the day (requires a driver’s license and reliable car)
Requirements
- Driver’s license and reliable car for transporting participants
- BA/BS and/or relevant experience preferred
- Clubhouse experience, community-based programs, or Recovery Learning Community is a plus
- Individuals with lived experience of mental health challenges are encouraged to apply
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week with occasional evenings and holidays. Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday.
Pay
$21.37 per hour.
