Role Overview

The licensed Masters Mental Health Counselor collaborates with patients and support systems to evaluate, diagnose, and conduct crisis risk assessments for both pediatric and adult populations. This clinical professional provides behavioral healthcare services, including crisis intervention, in a hospital or emergency department setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose patients using established standards
  • Conduct crisis risk assessments
  • Provide mental health treatment and support in emergency and hospital environments
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care

Qualifications & Skills

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, or related Social Science
  • Washington Mental Health Counselor or Marriage and Family Therapist License
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical behavioral healthcare experience
  • At least 6 months experience in crisis services

Preferred Experience

  • Hospital or emergency department experience
