Mental Health Counselor

About the role

Full-time Therapist In Training position within an outpatient mental health team, providing individual therapy services under supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical assessments
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Deliver individual psychotherapy
  • Provide psychoeducation to clients and families
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Participate in team meetings and case consultations
  • Collaborate with community partners and referral sources
  • Engage in ongoing supervision and professional growth activities

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a behavioral health field
  • Practicum experience in a clinical setting
  • Eligibility for or holding a Wisconsin “In Training” license (e.g., APSW, LPC-IT, MFT-IT)
  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license

Preferred skills

  • Active professional licensure
  • Experience serving justice-involved populations
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and practices

Work environment

  • Flexible hybrid schedule with onsite and telehealth options
  • One evening appointment required weekly
