About the role

Join AWS Enterprise Support as a Technical Account Manager (TAM) and serve as the principal technical advisor and ‘voice of the customer’ for Media & Entertainment Enterprise-level customers. This role focuses on helping customers gain the best value and service from AWS, working across technologies such as Media, AI/ML, Compute, Storage, Database, Big Data, Application-level Services, Networking, Serverless, Deployment, and Security.

The TAM acts as a strategic technical advisor, guiding customers in adopting and using AWS services like EC2, S3, SageMaker, Bedrock, DynamoDB, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, Elemental Media Services, and more. You will work proactively to craft and execute strategies, drive discussions with senior leadership, and ensure customers' AWS environments remain operationally healthy and resilient. This position requires travel of 10% or more as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the principal technical advisor and ‘voice of the customer’ for Fortune 500 enterprises.
  • Collaborate with engineers and service teams to resolve customer support issues.
  • Drive adoption and usage of AWS services through strategic guidance and best practices.
  • Represent AWS within customer environments, facilitating discussions on incidents, trade-offs, support, and risk management.
  • Provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to plan and build solutions using AWS best practices.
  • Maintain proactive oversight of customers' AWS environments to ensure operational health and resilience.
  • Develop close relationships with customers to understand their business, operational needs, and technical challenges.
  • Communicate and present to executive and senior audiences.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of technical engineering experience.
  • Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for three (3) or more of the following: compute, storage, networking, CDN, databases, DevOps, big data and analytics, security, or applications development in a distributed systems environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related discipline, or 4+ years of equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in information technology operations.
  • Ability to travel 10% or more as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings.
  • Experience in an internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead.
  • AWS Professional level certification, or 1+ years of technical specialist, design, and architecture experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with experience presenting to large and small audiences.
  • 3+ years of experience communicating with and presenting to executive and senior audiences.
  • Experience with development in a distributed systems environment.
  • Experience with mission-critical, 24x7 operations.
  • 4+ years of Amazon experience, or experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings.

Pay

  • USA, CA, San Diego: $131,300.00 - $177,600.00 USD annually
  • USA, OR, Portland: $131,300.00 - $177,600.00 USD annually
  • USA, TX, Dallas: $131,300.00 - $177,600.00 USD annually
  • USA, WA, Bellevue: $131,300.00 - $177,600.00 USD annually

Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
