About the role

AWS Global Services brings together experts from across AWS to help customers design, build, operate, and secure their cloud environments. As a Technical Account Manager (TAM) in AWS Enterprise Support, you will serve as the principal technical advisor and 'voice of the customer' for organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 enterprises. This role focuses on advising customers on AWS services—including EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, IoT, and more—rather than hands-on troubleshooting. You will proactively craft and execute strategies to drive adoption, ensure operational health, and build resilient AWS environments. The position requires travel of 10% or more as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the principal technical advisor to customers, representing AWS in their environments and driving discussions with senior leadership on incidents, trade-offs, support, and risk management.
  • Provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help customers plan and build solutions using AWS best practices.
  • Proactively maintain the operational health and resilience of customers' AWS environments.
  • Develop close relationships with customers to understand their business, operational needs, and technical challenges, helping them achieve maximum value from AWS.
  • Collaborate with AWS engineers and service teams to resolve customer issues without direct hands-on troubleshooting in their environments.
  • Drive customer adoption and usage of AWS services, including Compute, Storage, Database, Big Data, Networking, Serverless, and more.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of technical engineering experience.
  • Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for three (3) or more of the following: compute, storage, networking, CDN, databases, DevOps, big data and analytics, security, or application development in a distributed systems environment.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings.
  • Experience in an internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead.

Pay

Base salary range: $151,000.00 - $204,300.00 USD annually (for USA, CA, San Francisco). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
