Cloud Technical Account Manager, AWS Enterprise Support, Strategic Industries
About the role
AWS Global Services includes experts from across AWS who help customers design, build, operate, and secure their cloud environments. As a Technical Account Manager (TAM) in AWS Enterprise Support, you will serve as the principal technical advisor and 'voice of the customer' to organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 enterprises. This role focuses on advising customers on AWS services, including EC2, S3, DynamoDB & RDS databases, Lambda, CloudFront CDN, IoT, and more, rather than hands-on troubleshooting.
You will work proactively to craft and execute strategies for AWS adoption, provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance, and ensure customers' AWS environments remain operationally healthy and resilient. The role requires building close relationships to understand business and operational needs, addressing technical challenges, and helping customers achieve maximum value from AWS. This position may require travel of 10% or more as needed.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the principal technical advisor and 'voice of the customer' for AWS Enterprise Support customers.
- Work proactively to drive customer adoption and use of AWS services, including compute, storage, databases, serverless, IoT, and more.
- Collaborate with engineers and service teams to resolve customer issues and ensure operational health.
- Provide strategic technical guidance and best practices for planning and building AWS solutions.
- Engage with senior leadership to discuss incidents, trade-offs, support, and risk management.
- Understand customer business and operational needs to help them achieve the greatest value from AWS.
- Travel 10% or more as required to meet customer needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of technical engineering experience.
- Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for three (3) or more of the following: compute, storage, networking, CDN, databases, DevOps, big data and analytics, security, or applications development in a distributed systems environment.
- Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings.
- Experience in an internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead.

Pay
Base salary range: $151,000.00 - $204,300.00 USD annually for this position in San Francisco, CA. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
