Cloud Technical Account Manager, AWS Enterprise Support, Strategic Industries
About the role
AWS Global Services includes experts from across AWS who help customers design, build, operate, and secure their cloud environments. You’ll join a diverse team of technical experts in dozens of countries who assist customers in achieving more with the AWS cloud.
As a Technical Account Manager (TAM) in AWS Enterprise Support, you will serve as the principal technical advisor and ‘voice of the customer’ for organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 enterprises. This role focuses on advising and strategizing with customers to drive adoption and effective use of AWS services, including EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront CDN, IoT, and more. You will work proactively to ensure customers' AWS environments remain operationally healthy and resilient, while also addressing technical challenges and providing advocacy and guidance on best practices.
This position requires the ability to travel 10% or more as needed.
Responsibilities
- Act as the principal technical advisor and ‘voice of the customer’ for AWS Enterprise Support customers.
- Work proactively to craft and execute strategies that drive customer adoption and use of AWS services.
- Provide technical guidance and advocacy to help plan and build solutions using AWS best practices.
- Engage with senior leadership to discuss incidents, trade-offs, support, and risk management.
- Collaborate with engineers and service teams to resolve customer issues, though not directly hands-on in troubleshooting.
- Maintain close relationships with customers to understand their business, operational needs, and technical challenges.
- Ensure customers achieve the greatest value from AWS while keeping their environments operationally healthy.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of technical engineering experience.
- Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for three (3) of the following: compute, storage, networking, CDN, databases, DevOps, big data and analytics, security, or applications development in a distributed systems environment.
- Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings.
- Experience in an internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead.

Pay
The base salary range for this position in San Francisco, CA is $151,000 - $204,300 USD annually. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
