The starting pay range for this position is $23.50 - $25.50 per hour. The full pay range is $23.50 - $39.95 per hour. Pay is based on several factors, including labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.

About the Role
As a Closing Team Leader, you will continue the momentum from the team’s day of hard work to finish strong, ensuring the guest experience remains a priority until the doors close each night. This role focuses on guest service, sales growth, workload efficiency, and team leadership.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and creating equitable experiences.
- Prioritize the guest experience by modeling, training, and coaching service standards.
- Understand your role in sales growth and how each area impacts store profitability.
- Lead and demonstrate a culture of executing best practices, closing skill gaps through coaching and development.
- Problem-solve and prioritize across multiple business areas to execute store strategies and meet sales goals.
- Assist leaders through communication and collaboration to influence sales performance and workload deliverables.
- Support store operations by ensuring departments are zoned, in-stock, signed, and labeled appropriately for the next day.
- Use business planning tools to share priorities and updates with store leadership.
- Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team.
- Support team onboarding, learning, and accountability to expectations.
- Follow all safe and secure training and processes as a key carrier, addressing store emergency and compliance needs.
- Demonstrate a safety culture by modeling safe behaviors, correcting hazards, and reporting injuries accurately.
- Engage with guests in a welcoming manner, solving their needs and thanking them for shopping at Target.
- Model physical security processes to enhance in-store security culture.
- Support merchandise protection strategies, including ordering, storage, and application.
- Support guest services such as order pick-up (OPU), Drive-Up (DU) orders, and DU returns while maintaining compliance with laws.
Requirements
- Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
- Ability to communicate using frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks.
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
- Effective communication skills.
- Capability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment and accomplish tasks within timeframes.
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
- Interpret instructions, reports, and information accurately.
- Handle cash register operations as needed.
- Climb up and down ladders.
- Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including lifting or moving up to 44 pounds without assistance.
- Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable and prompt attendance.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout).
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
