About the Role
The Clinical Therapist is supervised by the Clinical Director and collaborates with program managers, coordinators, and staff. Responsibilities include psychosocial assessments, consultation, care coordination, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and conducting individual, group, and/or family therapy. Services may be provided in office, home-based, or community-based settings.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to Agency philosophy, policies, and standards of conduct.
- Comply with all contract requirements and State regulations.
- Develop a written psychosocial assessment within 48 hours of admission/assignment.
- Attend treatment team meetings, case reviews, and problem-solving sessions.
- Consult with agency staff and collateral entities to coordinate services for assigned clients.
- Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans.
- Document client progress, interventions, and outcomes (e.g., progress notes in DAP format, treatment plans, case notes, incident reports).
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy; home-based services; and other clinical services as assigned.
- Attend training and supervision as required.
- Maintain professional client records and perform administrative duties (e.g., UR functions, billing, performance measures).
- Uphold applicable Code of Ethics (e.g., NASW, ACA, APA).
- Available for 24-hour crisis intervention as needed or directed.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
- A Master’s Degree or Doctorate from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Guidance and Counseling, Psychology, or a related health field, plus two (2) years of combined graduate studies and experience in Behavioral Health working with SED children and families.
- Current New Mexico licensure in good standing as one or more of the following: LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, PhD, PsyD, LMSW, LMHC, or LPAT.
- Thorough knowledge of community resources and ability to coordinate services.
- Demonstrated ability to establish positive, professional relationships with clients, families, colleagues, and community partners.
- Proficiency with computers and electronic systems, including EHRs, client assessments, and data/reporting systems.
- Valid New Mexico driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record; must maintain required auto insurance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Criminal Records Clearance (local, state, and FBI).
- Current certification in First Aid and CPR, or ability to obtain within the specified timeframe after hire.
- Current certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or equivalent, or ability to obtain within the specified timeframe after hire.
- Bilingual/bicultural (English/Spanish) preferred.
Pay
The salary for the Clinical Therapist position is determined based on three primary factors: Licensure Type, Years of Experience, and Site Location.
