Clinical Technician - Autotransfusion
About the role
SpecialtyCare provides a comprehensive in-house training program to help you gain valuable skills and a career in health care. As an Autotransfusion Clinical Technician, you will play a vital role in the health and well-being of our patients by running equipment that purifies the patient’s blood and returning it to the patient. This role involves recycling the patient’s own blood, which can reduce recovery time and prevent adverse effects associated with donor blood.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain autotransfusion equipment
- Collect, process, and return the patient’s own blood
- Participate in a call rotation including weekends and holidays
- Adapt to a high-stress environment and work well under pressure
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively
- Complete on-the-job training including certification and company-sponsored education modules
Requirements
- Average or bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- Live within 30 minutes of contracted hospitals
- Able to work flexible hours and participate in a call rotation
- Reliable transportation and the ability to be on-call
- Successfully complete on-the-job training including certification and company-sponsored education modules
