Clinical Technician - Autotransfusion

About the role

SpecialtyCare provides a comprehensive in-house training program to help you gain valuable skills and a career in health care. As an Autotransfusion Clinical Technician, you will play a vital role in the health and well-being of our patients by running equipment that purifies the patient’s blood and returning it to the patient. This process, known as autotransfusion or cell salvage, reduces recovery time and prevents adverse effects associated with donor blood.

Responsibilities

  • Run autotransfusion equipment to collect, separate, wash, and return the patient’s blood
  • Administer cell-based therapies such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and bone marrow aspirate concentrate
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency
  • Provide excellent customer service consistently
  • Adapt and thrive in a high-stress environment
  • Work independently and in a team environment

Requirements

  • Average or bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Live within 30 minutes of our contracted hospitals
  • Able to work flexible hours and participate in a call rotation including weekends/holidays
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to be on-call
  • Successfully complete on-the-job training including certification and company-sponsored education modules

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
