Clinical Technician - Autotransfusion

About the role

SpecialtyCare provides a comprehensive in-house training program to help individuals gain valuable skills and a career in health care. As an Autotransfusion Clinical Technician, you will play a vital role in the health and well-being of our patients by running equipment that purifies the patient’s blood and returns it to the patient. This role involves recycling the patient’s own blood, which can reduce recovery time and prevent adverse effects associated with donor blood.

Responsibilities

• Run autotransfusion equipment to collect, separate, wash, and return the patient’s blood
• Participate in a call rotation including weekends and holidays
• Provide support for cell-based therapies like platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and bone marrow aspirate concentrate

Requirements

• Average or bachelor's degree preferred but not required
• Must live within 30 minutes of contracted hospitals
• Able to work flexible hours and participate in a call rotation including weekends/holidays
• Reliable transportation and the ability to be on-call
• Successfully complete on-the-job training including certification and company-sponsored education modules
