About the Role
The CTL is accountable for the overall operation of an assigned unit during a specific time period, focusing on patient care, resource management, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Distributes work in a way that maximizes the use of available resources and aligns with the capabilities of team members.
- Coordinates work and resources to meet changing requirements in the work environment, including patient flow management.
- Evaluates individual and collective outcomes of patient care, adjusts resource assignments, and reports changing needs and outcomes to the staff.
- Contributes to staff development by observing care delivery, suggesting evaluations, and providing education.
- Serves as a de-escalation trainer and promotes the use of Hospital Acquired Condition Prevention tools.
- Remains situationally aware of patient status and overall unit acuity.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years of healthcare experience.
- A registered nursing license in the State of Ohio.
- CPR certification.
- An Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program is required.
- Commitment to obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing within five years of hire.
