About the Role

Community Clinic is seeking an experienced Nurse or Medical Assistant to serve as the Clinical Team Lead for our Primary and Specialty Care Clinics in Gentry, AR and Grove, OK. This role supports the Practice Manager in leading the day-to-day activities of the patient care support team, including Nurses and Medical Assistants. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience, outpatient clinical experience, and a passion for providing access to healthcare for everyone in our community. This position will float between our Gentry, AR and Grove, OK locations, with mileage reimbursed per our policy.

Schedule

Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Practice Manager to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality staff performance.
  • Assumes responsibility of the clinic in the Practice Manager’s absence, in conjunction with the Director of Nursing (DON).
  • Leads the team daily by modeling positive, compassionate care for patients and support for staff.
  • Demonstrates exceptional customer service while interacting with providers, patients, and coworkers.
  • Ensures adequate staff coverage for absences and helps develop work assignments, including proactive staffing plans and daily flex coverage based on practice needs.
  • Provides direct clinical support to providers as needed.
  • Trains, mentors, and completes staff competency evaluations for new and existing clinical staff.
  • Assists in the supervision of clinical staff and provides input for performance reviews and corrective action plans.
  • Assists in coordinating inventory and ordering medical supplies.
  • Adheres to applicable regulatory guidelines and laws, including HIPAA/HITECH, CLIA, HRSA, NCQA PCMH, and OSHA.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current active Nursing license or Medical Assistant certification required.
  • 5+ years of experience in patient care in an outpatient setting required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Skills

  • High level of clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to work and function independently and within a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people of all backgrounds.
  • Intermediate or better proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficient in current practice management systems and/or electronic medical records.
  • Commitment to professional development activities, such as trainings and continuing education units (CEUs).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Commitment to the practice’s high-quality, compassionate care of patients.
