Job Description

We are an agency committed to quality gender-responsive, trauma-informed care to individuals experiencing serious mental illness, development disabilities, and co-occurring disorders. Metrocare programs focus on the issues that matter most in the lives of the children, families, and adults we serve.

Hours of Responsibility

The program is open Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm. This is not a traditional 40 hr./week job and will require some late evening and weekend work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of assigned direct reports management.
  • Responsible for clinic flow, including but not limited to, vitals, health screening, and other CCBHC, DDP or contract quality measures.
  • Ensures timely processing of prior authorization and PAP Medications.
  • Provides guidance, direction, and supervision to staff to ensure quality care and implementation of processes.
  • Responsible for problem solving and correction action implementation as needed.
  • Participates in the hiring and supervision of site staff.
  • Develops and implements strategies for performance improvement related to key performance indicators, including but not limited to, productivity, charting timeliness, recovery plan compliance, and quality improvement.
  • Fosters an environment of continuous quality improvement (CQI).
  • Ensures that an ongoing CQI process is developed and implemented and provides oversight to the CQI process.
  • Adheres to documentation requirements related to Quality Management and regulatory agencies, such as CARF, CCBHC, and the Texas Administrative Code.
  • Provides clinical supervision, education, and training as required by various contracts and regulatory agencies.
  • Establishes and maintains the highest standard of quality care and ethical practice.
  • Identifies and implements strategies for overall program development and growth in conjunction with the supervision of the Clinical Manager.
  • Actively participates in special projects and takes leadership roles as requested.
  • Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the ethical standards of conduct, state contract, appropriate professional standards, and applicable state/federal laws.
  • Exercises sound judgement and maintains current knowledge of the company’s organization structure, personnel policies, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work or other human service field.
  • MENTAL HEALTH EXPERIENCE: Required: 2 years.
  • MANAGEMENT/SUPervisory EXPERIENCE: Required: 1 year minimum.
  • DRIVING REQUIRED: Yes.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic math skills required. Ability to work with reports and numbers, above average excel skills needed. Ability to calculate moderately complex figures and amounts to accurately report activities and budgets.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current State of Texas Driver License or if you live in another state, must be currently licensed in that state. If licensed in another state, must obtain a Texas Driver License within three (3) months of employment. Liability insurance is required if an employee will operate a personal vehicle on Center property or for Center business. Must be insurable by Center’s liability carrier if employee operates a Center vehicle or drives personal car on Center business. Must have an acceptable driving record.
