Clinical Supervisor RN 4A Full Time Nights

About the Role

The Clinical Supervisor ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, and cost-effective care by competent team members. They optimize resource utilization to meet productivity and financial goals while collaborating with administrative personnel, physicians, and staff to improve processes across the continuum. The role involves appropriate unit staffing, proactive patient flow and bed management, and leadership in change initiatives. Clinical Supervisors model professional standards, mentor direct care providers, and hold staff accountable for professional responsibilities and policy adherence. They also participate in the evaluation process in collaboration with the Clinical Manager.

Responsibilities

• Assure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective care delivery.
• Ensure efficient utilization of resources to meet productivity and financial goals.
• Collaborate with administrative personnel, physicians, and co-workers to improve processes.
• Maintain appropriate unit staffing to provide patient care.
• Proactively address patient flow and bed management issues in collaboration with the Staffing Office.
• Inspire and lead change initiatives with enthusiasm and professionalism.
• Mentor and guide direct care providers to promote leadership and process improvements.
• Hold direct and indirect care providers accountable for professional responsibilities and policy adherence.
• Participate in the evaluation process in collaboration with the Clinical Manager.
• Demonstrate alignment with Mercy’s mission, values, and service standards.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing program.
• Current RN license with the State Board of Nursing.
• 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider certification (or completion within probation period).
• Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, and ENPC or PALS.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong human relations and communication skills (written, verbal, and electronic).
• Clinical competence in patient care delivery.
• Ability to assess data and assist personnel in providing appropriate care.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
