Clinical Supervisor: Occupational Therapy
About the role
The Clinical Supervisor - Therapy is responsible for overseeing patient care and clinical personnel in a home health setting. This is a hybrid role combining fieldwork and office-based responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- In the field: Oversight of therapists providing care to patients in their homes, including performance evaluations and hiring.
- Daily patient activities: Handling incoming calls, following up, and ensuring appropriate actions are taken.
- Clinical coordination: Coordinating training and educational programs for field clinicians, assessing staff learning needs, and planning goals.
- Support and guidance: Serving as the first point of contact for field clinicians, assisting with patient care escalations, and participating in case conferences.
- Quality assurance: Reviewing and evaluating cases, discussing impressions, and guiding clinicians to improve performance and service delivery.
- Administrative duties: Performing administrative call duties, serving as a role model, and being available during operating hours to assist clinicians.
Requirements
- Two years of management or supervisory experience in a rehabilitation therapy department or program.
- Home health experience highly preferred.
- A degree from a baccalaureate or master's program in an applicable discipline from an accredited institution.
- A current California Occupational Therapist license.
- A valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Qualifications
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
Benefits
Includes a competitive salary range of $143,000 to $163,000 annually, plus a generous quarterly bonus. Comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement savings options, and paid time off.
Pay
Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
Schedule
This is a hybrid role combining fieldwork and office-based responsibilities. The Clinical Supervisor works 2 days in the Sacramento office and 3 days in the field, visiting 15 patients per week (including supervisory visits).
