Clinical Supervisor: Occupational Therapy

About the role

The Clinical Supervisor - Therapy is responsible for overseeing patient care and clinical personnel. This is a hybrid role combining fieldwork and office-based responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Handles incoming calls and ensures appropriate actions are taken to meet customer needs.
• Counsels and guides clinicians to promote effective performance and quality care.
• Coordinates training and educational programs for nurses within the field.
• Assists clinicians in establishing therapeutic goals and developing care plans.
• Reviews and evaluates patient cases, discussing and verifying impressions with clinicians.
• Participates in bi-weekly Case Conferences to discuss patient progress and revise care plans.
• Serves as the first point of contact for field clinicians, assisting with patient care escalations.

Requirements

• Two years management or supervisory experience in a rehabilitation therapy department or program, preferably in home care.
• A degree from a baccalaureate or masters program in applicable discipline approved by an accredited organization.
• A current CA Occupational Therapist license.
• A valid CA Drivers License with an acceptable driving record.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with patient assessment and care planning.

Schedule

This is a hybrid role combining fieldwork and office-based responsibilities. The Clinical Supervisor - Therapy will spend 2 days in the Roseville Office and 3 days in the field, visiting 15 patients weekly (including supervisory visits).
