Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in a relevant field.
- Relevant content-specific knowledge and pedagogy (i.e., have knowledge of an array of teaching and learning strategies associated with the subject matter content).
- Knowledge of and willingness to know current Teaching Performance Expectations and basics of the Teaching Performance Assessment.
- Relevant Professional experiences in elementary, secondary, and/or special education educational settings.
- Teaching Experience: a minimum of 3 years in elementary, secondary, and/or special education classrooms.
- California Multiple Subject credential, Single Subject, and/or Education Specialist, Mild/Moderate Disabilities or Moderate/Severe Disabilities, PPS or admin credential (as appropriate).
- Ability to work effectively with candidates and district staff (cooperating teachers; identified administrators) in their field settings.
- Ability to teach/mentor/supervise adult learners
- Demonstrated commitment to and teaching in diverse settings, as well as working with students from culturally and linguistically diverse communities
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior higher education teaching experience
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work
