About the role

The Department of Special Education at Nassau BOCES is seeking temporary teachers.

Responsibilities

  • Experience working with students with learning, behavior, and social/emotional needs
  • Strong skills in differentiated instruction
  • Demonstrated abilities in data-informed instruction and the Next Generation Learning Standards

Requirements

  • New York State Certified Special Education Teachers
  • Preferably holding two or more certifications in the following areas:
    • Students with Disabilities (Birth-2)
    • Students with Disabilities (Grades 1-6)
    • Students with Disabilities (Grades 5-9)
    • Students with Disabilities (Grades 7-12)
