Clinical Staff Pharmacist

Role Overview This position involves providing age-specific pharmaceutical care and basic clinical services within assigned patient care areas. Key responsibilities include managing medication orders with age considerations, participating in pharmacotherapeutic planning, supervising healthcare team members, and preparing sterile products for dispensing. The role also encompasses contributing to departmental goals, programs, quality assurance, and safety initiatives, as well as offering drug information and education. Active participation in departmental committees and optimizing safety through automation are essential duties. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of a Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.One year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.Current, active pharmacy licensure for the appropriate state or eligibility with a 120-day acquisition requirement.Basic computer literacy, interpersonal skills, and clinical awareness are required; advanced order entry skills and experience with Microsoft Office are preferred.Training in BLS and/or ACLS, with additional post-graduate or clinical experience considered advantageous. Key Duties Ensure medication safety through proper processing, preparation, and dispensing.Participate in pharmacotherapeutic and clinical activities.Supervise and collaborate with healthcare team members.Contribute to quality improvement and safety programs.Provide drug information and educational support to staff and patients.Utilize automation effectively to maximize safety and efficiency.
