Clinical Social Worker, LICSW

About the Role

A social work position within a hospital's Emergency Services team, focusing on addressing social needs and issues in emergency and inpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Conducts biopsychosocial and trauma assessments.
• Provides trauma-informed, strengths-based interventions and crisis support.
• Screens for social determinants of health and offers case management and advocacy.
• Collaborates with healthcare teams and community providers.
• Develops safety plans, utilizes motivational interviewing, and offers crisis intervention.
• Provides information, referrals, and counseling on child protective services, violence, substance abuse, mental health, and homelessness.
• Builds therapeutic relationships and communicates effectively with team members.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work.
• LICSW licensure in MA required.
• Preferred experience in medical social work with strong clinical skills.
• Cultural sensitivity; bicultural/bilingual skills are a plus.
• Comfortable in fast-paced environments.

Schedule

40-hour onsite position with rotating shifts.
