Clinical Social Worker, LICSW

About the Role

Provides social work services within a hospital's Emergency and inpatient settings, focusing on biopsychosocial assessments, trauma-informed, strengths-based interventions, and advocacy for patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Respond to social needs across departments.
• Conduct biopsychosocial and trauma assessments.
• Implement trauma-informed, solution-focused interventions.
• Screen for social determinants of health and provide case management.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams and community providers.
• Develop safety plans, engage in crisis intervention, and offer emotional support.
• Provide information, referrals, and counseling on issues like child protection, violence, mental health, and homelessness.
• Maintain effective therapeutic relationships and communicate proactively with team members.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work.
• LICSW licensure in MA required.
• Experience in medical social work preferred, with strong clinical skills and cultural competence.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment; bicultural/bilingual skills are a plus.

Schedule

40-hour onsite position with rotating evening/night shifts.
