Responsibilities

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in the Transition program obtains didactic classroom and hands on skills training enhanced with a clinical preceptorship. The nurse will be responsible for independently utilizing the nursing process to safely, therapeutically and efficiently care for women before, during and after delivery of the baby based on HMNMH’s policies, procedures and all regulatory requirements.

Responsible for ensuring that the nursing as well as the emotional needs of the patient are adequately met throughout the entire birthing process.

Requirements

The following are required for the role:

  • Circulation in C-Section recovery room experience within 6 months of starting program
  • Knowledge of Model Hospital initiatives with supporting education documentation within 6 months of starting program
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Basic computer skills

Qualifications

The following qualifications are required:

  • Current CA RN license
  • Current BLS, and ACLS provider cards
  • NRP provider card within 6 months of starting program
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing (ASN) required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year of acute care RN experience

Pay

The pay range for this role is $51.31 to $78.76.
