Sentara Leigh Hospital is a Magnet Status, 250-bed facility specializing in orthopedic, gynecological, and urological services. It offers a contemporary care environment for general medical/surgical and ambulatory services, including a full-service Emergency Room with a dedicated observation unit, Critical Care, GI, and Oncology services, and a Family Maternity Center.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Certification/License: State Respiratory license, NBRC RRT, BLS required at time of hire. For new graduates, state license and BLS at time of hire, and NBRC RRT within 6 months of hire date.
Experience: 5 years Respiratory Care, 5 years critical care

Sentara Leigh Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 274-bed acute care facility that opened in 1903 and relocated to its present site in 1977. It includes a dedicated Orthopedic Hospital providing patients access to a full continuum of orthopedic care, from the preoperative phase and surgery to rehabilitation and home care services. The hospital is also recognized as a Primary Stroke Center and Magnet hospital for nursing excellence, specializing in orthopedic and spine care, heart, vascular, maternity care, and general surgery. It houses the region’s only 24-hour hyperbaric oxygen program for treating various conditions.
