About the role
This full-time position offers a flexible shift: Sunday nights, Thursday days, and Friday days, including on-call duty on Tuesdays. A sign-on bonus of $30,000 is available to eligible external candidates. This role is referral-eligible and located in Tipton.
The Clinical Respiratory Specialist will exhibit excellence in patient care, serving as a role model, mentor, educator, and resource for all staff. This position supports the department by being the exemplar in abilities, ownership, and maintaining service standards for team members and colleagues needing guidance in Respiratory Care.
Requirements
- Current Indiana licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- R.R.T. (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential by the N.B.R.C. (National Board for Respiratory Care).
- Associate of Science degree from a CoARC (Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) and a regionally accredited respiratory care program. Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree.
- Healthcare Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Certification.
- Advanced life support certifications per unit/department of specialty within 6 months of hire (ACLS, NRP, PALS).
- 2-4 years of experience in Respiratory Care.
- 1 year of experience in NICU.
- Ability to apply basic computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
- Education background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience as a Respiratory Clinical Specialist.
- Experience in a leadership or training capacity.
- 2 years of experience in a Respiratory Therapy specialty area.
