Clinical Respiratory Specialist

About the role

This position exists to exhibit excellence in patient care areas and to serve as a positive role model, mentor, educator and resource to all staff. This position also supports the department by being the exemplar resource in abilities, ownership, and maintaining the standards of service for their team members and other colleges needing guidance in the area of Respiratory Care.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Current Indiana licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the state of Indiana
• R.R.T. (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential by the N.B.R.C.
• AS degree from a CoARC and a regionally accredited respiratory care program
• Healthcare Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Certification
• Other advanced life support certifications per unit/department of specialty within 6 months of hire (ACLS, NRP, PALS)
• 2-4 years experience in Respiratory Care
• 1 year experience in NICU
• Absorbs and applies basic computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Preferred: Education background, BS or MS preferred, Previous experience as Respiratory Clinical Specialist, Previous experience in a leadership or training capacity, 2 years experience in area of RT specialty
