Clinical Research Assistant - Internal Medicine (Physical Activity and Weight Management)

Job Duties

• Aid in the implementation and evaluation of physical activity, nutrition, and weight management interventions across various populations, including individuals with intellectual or physical disabilities.
• Deliver one-on-one and group-based health education sessions as a health educator and/or exercise specialist for participants in intervention studies.
• Collaborate with faculty investigators and research team members to ensure adherence to study protocols and support daily study operations.
• Conduct outcome testing, including anthropometric measurements and data collection related to diet, physical activity, behavior change, and body composition.
• Maintain accurate and detailed participant records through timely documentation and data entry, in compliance with university policies and applicable standards.
• Absorb and promote program offerings and engage potential participants through outreach and communication efforts.

Required Qualifications

• Four (4) years of experience in exercise, public health, nutrition, or related field.
• Master’s degree.
• Experience working in a clinical or research setting, preferably related to nutrition, physical activity, or weight management.
• Experience conducting clinical exercise tests.
• Experience with meal preparation, and nutrition or physical activity education.
• Experience with various populations, including those with intellectual or physical disabilities.
• Experience with data entry.
