About the role
As a Clinical Psychologist, you will deliver high-quality mental health care, including psychotherapy, psychological assessments, and evidence-based interventions, to individuals within a correctional setting. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support the mental health and rehabilitation of incarcerated individuals, ensuring care aligns with ethical and legal standards. Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological evaluations of inmates/detainees/residents (I/D/R) to diagnose mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans, including psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Assess suicide risk and mental health status to determine the need for higher levels of care or observation.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and other medical professionals for medication management and referrals.
- Supervise and train mental health staff; provide in-service education and crisis intervention training for correctional and medical personnel.
- Maintain thorough documentation of services and participate in quality-of-care reviews.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Doctoral degree (PhD, Psy.D., or Ed.D.) in Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current and active license to practice Psychology in the state where services are delivered (license must be valid and verifiable).
- One (1) year of experience in a correctional or forensic setting preferred.
- Participation in the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PsyPact) is preferred and supports telehealth service delivery across participating states.
- Availability to provide telehealth services remotely for up to 40 hours per week.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
Pay
Up to $85/hour in person, depending on experience
