About the role

This position provides specialized professional therapeutic programming to offenders in an alcohol and other drug treatment program. Incumbent is capable of performing all aspects of program content, including security, assessment/evaluation, psycho-educational programming, monitoring and reporting, teaching, training and professional standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and continuing care plans.
  • Teach and facilitate psycho-educational courses.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment activities.
  • Monitor and report on client progress and compliance with treatment protocols.
  • Exercise sound judgment and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.

Requirements

  • Licensure: Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or equivalently qualified to perform alcohol and drug counseling under Minnesota Statute 148F.11.
  • Experience: One year of experience providing behavioral health services, including individual and group therapy, to clients with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring disorders.
  • Education: Master's degree in Alcohol and Drug Counseling/Studies, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family, Counseling, or a related Behavioral Health/Science program.

  • Interpersonal/human relations skills.
  • Basic personal computer skills.
  • Ability to provide substance use treatment; formulate and implement an individualized treatment plan; and develop a continuing care plan.
  • Ability to teach a psycho-educational course; effectively function within a multi-disciplinary team; exercise sound judgment; and demonstrate appropriate professional boundaries.

Pay

$28.26 - $41.43 / hourly; $59,006 - $86,505 / annually

Day Shift: Monday - Friday
