Clinical Program Therapist 2 - Substance Use Disorder

About the role

As a Substance Use Therapist, you will provide specialized therapeutic programming to clients in an alcohol and other drug treatment program within a Minnesota Correctional Facility (MCF) - Shakopee, working with incarcerated individuals. You will be responsible for all aspects of program content, including security, assessment/evaluation, psycho-educational programming, monitoring and reporting, teaching, training, and maintaining professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide substance use disorder treatment, including individual and group therapy
• Formulate and implement treatment plans
• Develop continuing care plans
• Complete client intakes
• Deliver psycho-educational programming
• Maintain proficient documentation
• Monitor and report on client progress
• Adhere to security protocols within a correctional facility

Requirements

• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or equivalently qualified to perform alcohol and drug counseling under Minnesota Statute 148F.11
• Two (2) years of experience providing behavioral health services, including individual and group therapy
• An associate’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field may substitute for six months of experience; a bachelor’s degree may substitute for one year; a master’s degree may substitute for two years of experience
• Successful completion of a criminal history check, including all sentencing and/or restitution requirements, and employment history/reference checks
• Tuberculosis screening prior to hire
• Review and sign a Physical Demands Analysis (PDA) for this position

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Minnesota LADC license
• Advanced degree in psychology, social work, or a related behavioral or social science program
• Experience working in a correctional or secure setting

Pay

$28.75 - $42.16 hourly; $60,030 - $88,030 annually
