About the role
The Clinical Nursing Supervisor (RN) oversees daily operations of an acute care unit, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise clinical staff, manage staffing, scheduling, workflow, and resource utilization.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and drive quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and evaluation of staff performance.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Assume unit responsibilities and provide direct patient care within RN scope in the absence of leadership.
Requirements
- Current RN license.
- BSN preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- At least 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Additional certifications (e.g., CCRN or NRP) are advantageous.
